Draw Tapes
Draw tapes
Draw tapes (also known as fish tape or cable rats) are used for routing and pulling cable through conduit. Their flexibility means that they can be used for routing around angles and they often come with an attachment for the end which can hook or fasten onto a string, wire or cable which can then be pulled back along the draw tapes' original path.
The following draw tapes are available in the C.K range:
SPIRA-FLEX draw tape 10m, 20m, and 30m
The C.K SPIRA-FLEX draw tape is the most advanced draw tape available. It features a spiral design which significantly reduces frictional resistance and minimises snagging and is manufactured from an advanced polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material which is super flexible and immensely tough. This also results in less kinking and coiling compared to nylon and steel tapes.
The impact resistant, rewindable cassette also protects the draw tape in between jobs!
This draw tape features a lead spring guide for smooth feed and minimal snagging. It is manufactured from a special 'Perlon' tape for strength and reliability. Designed for electricians, it is non-conductive and non-corroding for safety and long life.
This high quality draw tape is constructed of three intertwining POM (Polyoxymethylene) strands and its helical tape structure is designed to reduce friction and provide high tensile strength.
Additional features include a flexible head attachment for navigating conduit with multiple bends and a robust plastic casing for convenience during storage and transportation.
The nylon draw tape provides high strength and low friction during cable pulling applications and has a flexible head attachment.
Additional features include:
-
Red coloured tape for improved visibility in conduit with existing cables
-
Robust plastic casing for convenience during tape rewind, storage and transportation
-
Non-conductive properties for safe working practices
Steel core wire draw tape - 50m
Made from steel core wire for exceptional tensile strength and a POM (Polyoxymethylene) coating, this draw tape is resistant to abrasion and causes minimal friction when pulling cable.
Like the POM 30m draw tape, the steel core wire draw tape has a flexible head attachment for navigating conduit with multiple bends.
